Access-to-information request

This service lets you request access to one or more documents held by Village de North Hatley.

Before you submit a request

First check the public document portal. The document you need may already be available immediately.

A request must concern a document or personal information held by the municipality, not simply a general question.
Identify the type of document, subject, dates, people or addresses concerned as precisely as possible.
The access officer must assist you if you need help identifying the document you are seeking.
If the requested documents contain your personal information, the municipality may contact you separately to verify your identity.

Response20 days: Initial time to respond after the request is received.
Extension+10 days: Possible extension, with written notice before the initial deadline.
Review30 days: Time to ask the Commission to review a decision or a failure to respond. This online form constitutes a written request.

In short: the response period can reach 30 days when an extension is announced. This is separate from the 30-day period for requesting a review.

Access is free. Reproduction, transcription or delivery fees may apply, and you will be informed beforehand.

The right of access has legal restrictions. A full or partial refusal must state the legal grounds and explain the available review process.
